I love photographing returning clients. I also crazy love at home lifestyle maternity sessions. A couple of months ago, I saw Melissa & Brandon‘s announcement that after many months of trying, and after struggling through a miscarriage, they were finally expecting their rainbow baby! I was completely overjoyed at their news and even more over the moon that they asked me to capture these maternity photos for them.
We started at a local outdoor spot for some late-morning photos before the sun got too hot. The pink Crape Myrtle trees that we in bloom provided so much beautiful color! Once we had enough of the South Texas heat, we headed back to Melissa & Brandon’s home to finish off their session. Melissa has been meticulous with creating her beautiful home! Her style is beautiful and effortless at the same time. The natural lighting in her home made my job of photographing inside, easy!
Melissa is completely stunning, and her heart is even more beautiful. The love that she and Brandon have for each other is so evident. Their little baby (gender is a surprise!) is going to be so incredibly loved. Congratulations Melissa & Brandon! I wish you the absolute very best as you become parents!
Sometimes God surprises me with photos from a session that I didn’t know I actually got until I am home and editing. This is for sure one of those special photos. I was able to capture Melissa and Brandon today & celebrate their rainbow baby that is soon to make his or her arrival. Little did I know that the beautiful light this morning would create a sun flare rainbow, right on top of Melissa & Brandon. After every storm, there is a rainbow.
Stunning mama! Totally worth all the mosquitos that were eating us alive during this part.
This nursery is JUST amazing! Melissa did an amazing job putting it all together!
Can we talk about how Melissa’s heart is even more beautiful than she is?! So excited for this sweet mama to hold her little baby so soon!
This book was so special for this couple. Melissa gave this book and read it to Brandon when she found out she was pregnant with their rainbow baby. Melissa re-read it while I was there and I almost completely lost it behind the camera. Loss of a pregnancy is not something that I know firsthand, but many of my friends have gone through the same thing. My heart goes out to anyone who has lost a baby && I pray that you know God will make it all good & whole again someday.
