What a special session this was! Being a San Antonio photographer and living in Military City, USA, means I have the wonderful opportunity to photograph amazing families. The Ruel family was reunited for the first time after nearly 7 months, just a day before this session occurred. This summer, I met the Ruel family at Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio, Texas. You could feel the joy that this family had after being reunited. Annie found me through the amazing Moreau family. I am always grateful for referrals! I have a deep respect for Military families who sacrifice for us all. I cannot imagine what it must feel like to have a family member gone for months at a time, but for so many families, that is their reality. Being able to photograph on Lackland AFB was so wonderful.
