You know when you meet someone and you just have the feeling you’re going to be sweet friends? That is exactly how I feel about Lily and her family!

I met Lily back in February when we got together for a playdate at the Pearl in downtown San Antonio. We ran around, chasing our kiddos, connecting over our moving to San Antonio along with the highs and lows of motherhood. Lily and her family have gone through a lot in the past year, but I’ll let her tell you their story. You can check out Lily’s Youtube channel here, and her Instagram feed here. Lily is one strong mama, and her love for God and her family shine through as soon as you meet her. I was so grateful when she jumped on board with my idea to photograph them in this amazing new spot I found in Bulverde. The light that evening was amazing! Capturing Lily and her husband Paul running around with their daughter, Bella made for just the best session.

Bella and her pigtails were my favorite. Maybe because I have two boys, and I’ve never been able to do the little girl hair thing, but the pigtails get me every time.

Once Bella knew she could run, she was off!

I will NEVER get tired of photographing mamas and their babies snuggling close.

Those little moments where mama is doing her mom-ing. 

Paul was all into throwing Bella as high as he could, and Bella couldn’t have loved it more!

I do try to always take time for mom & dad photos. This is where love all started. It’s refreshing to take a moment to remember that.
